This tibetan dish served at Majnu ka Tilla will leave your taste buds burning
Majnu ka Tilla is a Tibetan refugee colony in Delhi. Earlier, It was inhabited by Tibetan refugees near the Yamuna river after the Sino-Indian war of 1962. Once you are in MKT (Majnu ka Tilla) you feel like you are just in naother world. It is a beautiful place with narrow lanes decorated with Tibetan flags on both sides of road.
The best way to reach Majnu ka Tilla is to get down at Kashmiri Gate or Vidhan Sabha metro station and take a rickshaw which will cost you around 10 INR. The place is famous for its cosy cafes, beautiful monastries and trendy shopping material.
Among all the Tibetan dishes served in Majnu ka Tilla, Laphing is our favourite among all. Laphing a spicy, cold mug bean noodle dish is served at every nook n corner of Majnu ka Tilla. Tenzing aunty, a lady sitting just outside the monastery serves the best Laphing. It will cost you around 30 INR and is both soupy and dry variants are available. There is no such seating arrangement so you will just have to stand and eat.
So, if you around Majnu ka Tilla do not forget to try Laphing and share your experience with us. Enjoy eating!!
